Key Personnel Carl G. Thelander, Principal As BRC's founder and principal, Mr. Thelander has over 30 years of experience with natural resource consulting on interdisciplinary projects in California and throughout the western United States. Mr. Thelander’s technical specialties include wildlife ecology, natural resources management, endangered species conservation, and ornithology, especially raptors. Before forming BRC, Mr. Thelander spent nearly two decades as a founding Principal and the CEO of BioSystems Analysis, Inc. whose annual sales reached $10M. He managed numerous projects, some of them extending over several years and with budgets often in excess of $2M.
